Before you try BEFF in GTA Online, make sure you’ve got the right gear and settings. This checklist covers the essentials for a smooth outfit/build workflow plus 2025 safety notes (chips/apartment money are risky).

Quick FAQ

Do I need chips or apartments for BEFF? No those were for money exploits and are unsafe now. Stick to outfits.

Does BEFF still work in 2025? Yes for outfits, but some flows can be buggy after patches. If a swap fails, re-save and retry.

Male vs female results? Same ID number, but the visual item can differ. Test both if you transfer looks.

1) Hardware & Account

  • Two consoles/sessions: Any combo (PS4/PS5 or XB1/XSX). You’ll sign in on both as C1 and C2.
  • One GTA Online account: Same account logged in on both consoles.
  • Controllers + storage: Enough free space for autosaves and quick swaps.

2) Network & Save Settings

  • Stable connection: Wired is best; avoid packet loss. NAT Type 2/Open helps matchmaking.
  • Autosave enabled: You’ll trigger a save after each key step (swap outfit, join session, etc.).
  • Cloud saves on: So your state is consistent between C1 and C2.

3) Outfit Prep (slots you’ll actually use)

  • Clear 5–10 outfit slots: Name them clearly for the run (e.g., Freeze, Flip, Final).
  • Know your IDs & Textures: Items use fixed IDs with textures 0–25. The same number on male vs female can show different pieces. See ID & Texture Guide.

4) Session Flow (high level)

  1. C1 builds the base outfit & equips the freeze/flip helper (parachute or mask). Trigger a save (change a setting, earpiece on/off, etc.).
  2. C2 loads in on the same character, applies the target change (e.g., texture/slot), then saves and exits.
  3. C1 returns, removes the helper (if required) to keep the frozen piece, then saves again.
  4. Repeat until the final look is built; save to a clean slot.

5) Optional but Helpful

  • Invite-only or friends session: Reduces lobby interruptions while you save.
  • Screenshot/notes: Track ID–Texture combos that work on your character.
  • Backup look: Keep one “safe” outfit in case you need to revert fast.

6) Freeze / Flip Helper Items

Israel Parachute

C1 helper
  • Freezes: Accessories, Torso-1, Shoes
  • Flips: Tops (Torso-2), Gloves, Armor

Most-used helper. Equip on C1, save, perform swap, then remove to keep frozen parts.

Green & Yellow Optics Headshot (Mask)

C1 mask helper
  • Freezes: Legs, Shoes, Gloves (sequence-dependent)

Apply on C1, save → swap → remove to lock the target piece.

Hediondo Krampus Mask

C1 mask helper
  • Freezes: Legs, Shoes, Gloves

Similar flow to Optics; some players prefer it for specific legs variants.

Sinners Clown Mask

  • Freezes: Legs texture (commonly used for texture locks)
